Ukraine’s Defense and Security Forces have received 1,000 vehicles through the HeroCar program of the Ruslan Shostak Charity Foundation — strengthening the country’s defense capability by more than 150,000 horsepower. The vehicles are delivered directly to frontline positions or used to meet the operational needs of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and other security structures.
Most of the vehicles provided are four-wheel-drive pickup trucks, which help save the lives of defenders on the front line. They are used for evacuation, rotations, missions, and logistics tasks. Since 2022, the program has also supplied the AFU and other defense units with off-road motorcycles, ATVs, ambulances, heavy-duty tow trucks, and a Griffon Barbara maneuvering boat that meets NATO standards.
HeroCar continues to deliver vehicles to the military regularly. The program raises funds, sources and purchases vehicles in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, delivers them to Ukraine, and performs full technical inspections. HeroCar has well-established logistics chains, a qualified team of experts, and cooperates closely with the AFU command and direct requests from military personnel.
“The HeroCar program of the Ruslan Shostak Charity Foundation was created as a response to the challenges we all faced at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. We saw the enormous need for vehicles and started building an efficient supply system for the army. We gained experience, found reliable partners and suppliers — and this allowed us to reach a pace of about 45–50 vehicles delivered each month recently.
Vehicles are sent to defenders every day. We’ve also carried out several large-scale deliveries — this March, for instance, 35 vehicles were handed over simultaneously to the Defense and Security Forces at Rynok Square in Lviv. And in August, we made our largest single transfer of motorcycles — 119 motorcycles were delivered to various AFU units.
All of this was made possible through synergy with our partners and caring Ukrainians. We’re not stopping at the milestone of one thousand vehicles and will continue providing transport to the Defense and Security Forces for as long as needed,”
said Yevheniia But, CEO of the Ruslan Shostak Charity Foundation.
Background
The Ruslan Shostak Charity Foundation was established in 2022, at the beginning of the full-scale war, by Ruslan Shostak, President of TERWIN Corporation and founder of EVA and VARUS. Since its creation, the foundation has focused on two main areas: supporting the military and helping orphans and children deprived of parental care — priorities that remain central to its mission. The foundation is also currently supporting people with limited mobility through the HeroMove project.
