The contribution of retail and wholesale trade to the gross domestic product of Ukraine amounts to 13.8%. Before the full-scale war, 3.5 million people worked in the trade sector. Retail is a favourable environment for innovation in all areas.

In Ukraine, the contribution of logistics to the national GDP amounts to about 4%. In European neighbouring countries, it ranges from 6.5% to 10%. Compared to Poland, Ukraine loses in logistics capacity. In Poland, there are 30 million square meters of class A and B warehouses, in Ukraine – only 3 million square meters as of 2023.
As a result of shelling, 500,000 square meters were damaged, with 350,000 square meters completely destroyed.
According to the latest research, Kyiv alone needs 500,000 square meters of warehousing facilities in 2024. The rest of the regions need another 500,000 square meters. The EVA and VARUS networks will also require an increase in the logistic space. Today, VARUS has about 50,000 square meters of warehouses, EVA – about 100,000 square meters. VARUS and EVA will require an increase in warehouses to 300,000 square meters in five years.
Therefore, TERWIN has launched a large-scale infrastructure project to build logistics hubs in order to contribute to the growth of the Ukrainian economy and retail. Project for more than 1 million square meters of class A warehouses in 4 regions (Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Kyiv). This is an ecosystem to raise the standards in the construction of the logistic infrastructure in Ukraine.

The Foundation has saved approximately 3,500 orphaned children and their accompanying caregivers from dangerous regions. This effort marks the largest evacuation of children in Europe since World War II.
