On March 25, Ukrainska Pravda released the results of its “UP 100: Power of Women” ranking. Olha Shevchenko, Executive Director of the EVA retail chain and EVA.UA, was listed among the top 100 Ukrainian female leaders in the “Business” category.
The 100 women were selected by a professional jury, the Ukrainska Pravda editorial team, and readers. Winners were honored in eight categories during a ceremonial event: Defenders, Politics and Public Administration, Education and Science, Society, Sports, Culture, Creative Industries and Fashion, and Business.
Olha Shevchenko has been with EVA since the company’s founding. Thanks to her strategic decisions during the full-scale war, the company not only preserved its team, customer loyalty, and leading market position, but also significantly expanded its social initiatives. EVA actively supports Ukrainian soldiers and civilians, provides aid to animal shelters, and more. Since the beginning of 2022, the company and its customers have directed over UAH 100 million toward CSR initiatives.
EVA is also one of the country’s largest employers and private investors. Its workforce numbers around 14,000 employees. In 2024 alone, the company created about 700 new jobs. During the full-scale war, EVA has invested nearly UAH 3.7 billion in its development.
“Olha Shevchenko is a talented leader who has been with EVA since day one. All of today’s accomplishments are thanks to her and her team — without exaggeration. It’s hard to imagine someone more determined, focused, talented, and professional. She combines toughness with grace. Courage with sensitivity. Beauty both inside and out. Profound awareness with boundless humanity,” said Ruslan Shostak, President of TERWIN Corporation.
The “UP 100: Power of Women” ranking honors women whose decisions, strong principles, and active efforts drive positive change in society. The award was established to recognize those who, amid wartime conditions, effectively lead businesses, develop culture, science, sports, and social initiatives, and actively support the country in difficult times.
