EVA launches a new experimental store format

22.07.2025

On July 12, 2025, the first store of EVA’s new compact format — “EVA Poruch” (meaning “EVA Nearby”) — opened in the village of Zazymia, Brovary district, Kyiv region.

Compact EVA Poruch stores will have an average area of around 60 m² — 3 to 4 times smaller than a standard EVA. The assortment will include about 2,000 SKUs, compared to 15,000–20,000 SKUs in full-size stores. However, the compact format will also feature some unique offers with an emphasis on affordable pricing. The main assortment focus will be on household chemicals, home care goods, basic baby care items, hygiene products, and personal and hair care products. Decorative cosmetics and perfumes will not be presented in this format.

“The main idea behind this format is to become even closer to our customers — hence the name ‘EVA Poruch.’ It is designed to help us meet consumer needs in locations where it was previously impossible to open a standard EVA store due to limited space. EVA Poruch ensures our presence where it matters most to shoppers,” said Viktor Srednyi, Chief Operating Officer of EVA stores.

Currently, EVA Poruch is an experimental format. The company aims to test its efficiency in practice and assess whether it truly helps reach both offline and online customers more effectively. Each EVA Poruch store will also serve as a pickup point for online orders, making online shopping even more convenient for a wider audience, as self-pickup remains the most popular way to receive parcels from EVA.UA. Customers can order products directly in-store via a special tablet, with assistance available from staff if needed — a feature handy for older shoppers who may require additional support when shopping online.

The investment required to open an EVA Poruch store is up to ₴500,000, while launching a standard EVA store costs ₴3–5 million, depending on design, size, and the condition of the premises. Each compact store creates 3–4 new jobs.

“Introducing this format is our response to current market needs and customer demand for easier access to EVA products close to home. We believe EVA Poruch will become a successful addition to our network, helping increase the number of loyal EVA and EVA.UA customers, improve coverage density, and enhance the company’s overall performance,” added Viktor Srednyi.

By the end of 2025, EVA plans to open 10 stores in the EVA Poruch format. The next openings are already scheduled for July:

  • Hatne village (Fastiv district, Kyiv region), 6 Pryozernyi Blvd.

  • Sofiivska Borshchahivka (Bucha district, Kyiv region), 28 Heroiv Nebesnoi Sotni Ave.

The strategic potential for further development of the format will be assessed based on its results in 2026.
