EVA summarizes Its performance in 2024
04.03.2025
The retail chain has nearly regained its pre-invasion store count and increased revenue compared to the previous year.
As of December 31, 2024, EVA operated 1,109 stores, close to the 1,116 it had before February 24, 2022. Over the past year, 65 new stores opened, with 45 in the new EVA "Women's Energy" format. Additionally, 26 previously opened stores were rebranded into this format, bringing the total to 121 by the end of 2024.
Eighteen stores were closed. "Some closures were due to relocations to larger spaces nearby. Unfortunately, we had to shut down stores in areas where Russian forces were advancing—10 in total. Two more in Kherson were closed due to unprofitability caused by a sharp population decline," explained Olga Shevchenko, CEO of RUSH LLC (EVA and EVA.UA).
Financial Growth
EVA's revenue grew by 28.6% in 2024, reaching UAH 27 billion, up from UAH 21 billion in 2023.
Innovations and Enhancements
The company actively implemented new services and improvements in 2024. EVA.UA launched as a marketplace, and loyalty program members gained the ability to choose personalized cashback options. The VISUAL by EVA virtual makeup service expanded to 251 stores (a 25% increase) and broadened its product range by 63%, introducing real-time hair dye previews. The number of user sessions grew by 250% compared to 2023.
The first Beauty Salon by EVA, featuring hairdressing and cosmetic services, was launched within the new EVA BEAUTY format, which also introduced electronic price tags. A virtual perfume quiz was developed in collaboration with a perfumer to help customers select fragrances. Additionally, EVA expanded its use of digital receipts, with its share reaching 70.4% across the network by the end of 2024.
Logistics Development
EVA focused on improving warehouse efficiency and working conditions. The conveyor system at the Odesa warehouse was upgraded, and warehouse space expanded by 1,500 m² in Dnipro and 3,400 m² in Lviv, bringing the total warehouse area to approximately 120,000 m². Automation and software improvements cut control and packaging costs for e-commerce warehouses by up to 50% and reduced order assembly time by 30% for 25% of orders.
In e-commerce logistics, the company's in-house delivery service expanded, covering 55% of deliveries due to new routes and courier service openings in Dnipro and Lviv, with more cities to follow. Optimization efforts reduced delivery times to 1.72 days for pickup locations and 1.21 days for courier deliveries—15% faster and four times cheaper than external carriers.
Expansion of Private Labels
Private label products accounted for 36.1% of total sales (up from 33.9% in 2023). EVA introduced eight new brands, including Missai (Korean cosmetics), Be.Se professional (nail care), and Francesco Torino and Elmantes (aroma diffusers). The company also launched Protebe (affordable skincare), One me (dry shampoos), Bestia (professional hair care), and Monique (SPA products), closing the year with 65 private brands. In February 2025, EVA will introduce Bingo, a pet food and accessories brand.
The company's first-ever advent calendar, Best of EVA.UA 2024 Beauty Gifts, sold out in three weeks. EVA.UA launched its own beauty accessories line and a Telegram-based service for ordering personalized socks. Among existing brands, LCF, GlamBee, and Patricia Ledo were top-selling makeup brands, while private-label diapers accounted for over 50% of diaper sales. The HoneyBunny kids’ foam wash became a top-selling Paw Patrol-licensed product in Europe.
In 2025, the company plans to expand its private label portfolio, introduce beauty gadgets for hair care, launch professional hair toning products from Italy, and grow its ABOUT hair brand.
Investments and Support for Ukraine
In 2024, EVA invested over UAH 800 million, bringing its total wartime investments to UAH 3.7 billion, making it one of Ukraine’s largest private investors during the war.
The company paid over UAH 4 billion in taxes in 2024.
EVA created around 700 new jobs, bringing its workforce to over 14,000 employees by early 2025. Currently, 397 employees, including 25 women, serve in Ukraine’s Defense Forces. EVA remains in contact with them and responds to their needs.
In 2024, EVA and its customers contributed over UAH 33 million toward defense support, aid for war victims, and shelter preparations for animals.
