EVA upgrades its E-commerce distribution center in Brovary

The EVA retail chain continues to consistently develop and modernize its logistics infrastructure. In May, the company completed one of the most important stages of a large-scale project to upgrade its e-commerce distribution center in Brovary. The project began in August 2024 and was implemented without interrupting warehouse operations.

As part of the upgrade, the return of containers from the quality control and packing area to the final order picking area was automated, new conveyor lines were installed, and the pre-control order processing area was automated. In addition, a buffer was created and a priority order management system was implemented for quality control. The control and packing area was also modernized — new ergonomic control and packing tables were installed, significant software improvements were made at the picking, control, and packing stages, and lighting in this area was upgraded.

“This modernization has a comprehensive effect: it improves working conditions for employees, reduces physical strain through process automation, and significantly increases order processing speed. Thanks to these changes, we will be able to quickly scale warehouse productivity to 20,000 orders per day. A similar solution, previously implemented at our e-commerce distribution center in Lviv, resulted in a 62.5% increase in employee productivity in the control and packing area. In the future, we also plan to upgrade lighting in the goods receiving, picking, and dispatch areas,” said Serhii Poliakov, Deputy Director of the Logistics Department of EVA and EVA.UA.

The investment in this completed stage of the modernization amounted to approximately UAH 35.9 million including VAT, while the total investment planned for the full upgrade of the distribution center is about UAH 41.8 million including VAT. Currently, EVA’s logistics complex in Brovary includes a warehouse serving the retail network (approx. 22,000 m²) and an e-commerce warehouse (approx. 21,000 m²). After the redevelopment of the property acquired from Dragon Capital earlier this year, EVA plans to dedicate the current distribution center entirely to e-commerce operations.
