Yevhen Savchenko, the Director of the Investment and Development Department of TERWIN Group, summarized the results of 2024 and shared insights on the outcomes.
The year 2024 remained challenging for Ukraine's investment sector. The war, economic crisis, and high risks for long-term investments kept investment activity at a low level. However, the government continued to implement reforms, including in digitalization, agriculture, and energy sectors.
TERWIN Group focused efforts on restoring and developing infrastructure projects. One of the key tasks was the development and enhancement of the large-scale logistics project WINHUB, which opened up new opportunities for long-term investments. We adapted the project’s strategy to the conditions of high inflation, exchange rate fluctuations, and instability caused by the war.
A strong economy needs a solid foundation, and one of those foundations is warehouse logistics. This is a strategically important sector for the country as it ensures effective management of the flow of goods, services, and resources both within the country and internationally. If we aim to attract investments during and after the war, we need high-quality class "A" warehouses. Currently, there is significant interest from foreign companies in high-tech warehouse real estate that meets European standards.
About WINHUB
WINHUB is a visionary project aimed at unlocking the untapped potential in Ukraine's logistics real estate market and taking the country’s logistics infrastructure to a significantly new level. It is a network of class “A” warehouses with a total area of 1 million square meters across four Ukrainian regions—Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Kyiv. The total planned investment in WINHUB amounts to $700 million. These are not just warehouse complexes, but a whole ecosystem with additional services, opportunities, and infrastructure for tenants. The design of the hub is based on principles of energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, and ergonomics. WINHUB is an essential part of Ukraine’s logistical and energy-efficient recovery after the war.
Collaboration with the Government and Partners
For the successful implementation of such a large-scale project, we actively collaborate with government authorities with the support of international investment consultants, taking into account changes in legislation and economic challenges. WINHUB has been included in the Investment Guide of Ukraine by the Ministry of Economy and the KSE Institute, which was presented at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2024 in Berlin. The professionally formed top management of the project has represented WINHUB at international exhibitions, which has already attracted the attention of global investors.
WINHUB’s Prospects
WINHUB will make a significant contribution to the restoration and development of Ukraine’s logistics infrastructure. The implementation of this project will help improve the country’s investment attractiveness at an international level, ensure effective management of goods and resources, and support the economy during the challenging recovery period.
