Leadership is the cornerstone for Ukraine — the foundation that holds the country, business, and society: Ruslan Shostak at the “Days of Ideas” forum
Ruslan Shostak, President of TERWIN Corporation and co-founder and co-owner of the EVA and VARUS retail chains, has joined the Council for Entrepreneurship established on the initiative of the President of Ukraine. The corresponding decree on the creation of the Council and the approval of its members was signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the decree, the Council was established to ensure constitutional guarantees for the right to entrepreneurial activity and to strengthen efforts in developing and implementing Ukraine’s investment potential. It serves as an advisory body to the President of Ukraine, as reported on the official website of the Head of State.
“It is a great honor for me to join the Presidential Council for Entrepreneurship. We are all interested in strengthening Ukraine’s economy and ensuring its growth, as well as reinforcing the country’s position in foreign markets. And right now is the moment when we can make it happen. The best ideas — viable, practical, and ready for implementation — are born in dialogue between business and government. But their realization requires preconditions, and it is the state that must create the right environment. At the same time, implementation will only be truly effective when it is carried out by business — those who have already proven capable of turning ideas into real action. After all, money in the state treasury doesn’t come from nowhere — it comes from business,” shared Ruslan Shostak, President of TERWIN Corporation.
The expanded Council for Entrepreneurship Support includes 77 business leaders and top officials. The Head of the Council is Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President, and the First Deputy Head is Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy. Among the Council members are also Hennadii Butkevych, co-founder of ATB-Market LLC; Oleh Horokhovskyi, co-founder of Fintech Band and the Monobank and Koto projects; Vladyslav Chechotkin, co-owner of Rozetka LLC; Business Ombudsman Roman Waschuk, and others. The Secretary of the Council is Yurii Katsion, Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President.
