The Primate of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epiphanius, has awarded Ruslan Shostak — President of TERWIN Corporation and founder of the Shostak Foundation Charity Fund — the Order of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker.

Metropolitan Epiphanius received Ukrainian entrepreneur and philanthropist Ruslan Shostak and members of his team at the Metropolitan’s residence.

During the meeting, they discussed the current religious and socio-economic situation amid Russia’s armed aggression, the support of Ukraine’s defenders through the institution of military chaplaincy, the social activities of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and Ruslan Shostak’s Charity Fund, as well as opportunities for cooperation for the benefit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and those most in need.

“Today, our unity and the understanding that much depends on each of us are extremely important. Alone, no one can achieve victory, but if everyone does their part, with God’s help, we will prevail. As Christians, we must always rely on the Lord, but at the same time, we must make every effort ourselves and help our neighbors — because that is when our faith is living and active,” noted His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius.

“We believe that chaplains are among the pillars of faith on the front line. The soldiers rely on the state, on their convictions, and on their faith, which gives them strength. In our view, we need to build a system that will continue to provide our chaplains with everything necessary for their service. This is our common contribution to victory and to strengthening the spirit of our army,” said Ruslan Shostak.

During the meeting, Ruslan Shostak also presented His Beatitude with a certificate for a vehicle that will be handed over to a chaplain of one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
