Investments, new stores, and digital services – EVA network results for H1 2025

20.08.2025

The charity campaign “Mission – Life,” launched by the public organization Zemliachky in partnership with the EVA retail chain, has concluded with results that exceeded all expectations: ₴9,223,184 were raised to provide protective gear for female combat medics on the front lines. This amount is more than double the initial goal of ₴4 million.

Thanks to this support, instead of the planned 80, the organization will now be able to equip over 180 female combat medics with body armor, helmets, military uniforms, boots, sleeping bags, and mats. All the gear is designed specifically for the female body, allowing women to work more safely, efficiently, and comfortably.

“This result proves how powerful small actions can be. Donations starting from just one hryvnia, QR-code flyers, and hundreds of thousands of contributions have all come together to create significant support for those who save lives every day,” said Kseniia Drahaniuk, co-founder of Zemliachky NGO.

More than 536,000 donors participated in the campaign. The initial ₴4 million goal was reached by day 31 of the fundraising effort. Most donations came from Kyiv, as well as the Kyiv, Lviv, Zhytomyr, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Fridays were the most active donation days, with peak donation hours between 12:00 and 13:00. The average contribution was ₴10–12, while the largest single donation reached ₴1,600. Several of the most active donors contributed over 40 times each.

“We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined this cause. This project is not just about equipment — it’s about care, trust, and shared responsibility for those who hold the line of life. EVA has always stood by its customers, and now we stand by those who save lives in the most dangerous conditions,” said Oleksandra Hnatyuk, Head of PR at EVA.

The “Mission – Life” campaign ran from May 8 to July 31, 2025. Donations for combat medics’ gear could be made in all EVA stores and online via EVA.UA and zemliachky.org.

On August 14, the organizers held a training day at a military range, where participants — including EVA and Zemliachky teams, journalists, and female service members — completed a short course in firearms handling, tactical medicine, and mine safety. This helped them better understand the challenges combat medics face and experience the intensity of split-second decision-making.

The final event took place on August 15, featuring the project’s results, a panel discussion on the role of women at the front, gender equality, and the importance of systematic charity. The organizers also honored EVA employees whose daily work contributed to the campaign’s success.

The “Mission – Life” campaign proved that charity can be systemic, emotional, and effective — when a large retail network, a strong civic organization, and genuine compassion unite for a common purpose.
