The Ruslan Shostak Charity Fund was recognized as the best charity fund by the "Responsible Country 2.0" competition from MMR. The EVA retail chain won in the "Support for War Victims" category with its "Holidays with Tails" initiative. Winners were selected by the media's readership and an expert jury.
The competition featured 100 social initiatives from Ukrainian companies and charity funds. Winners were determined in nine categories: projects for approaching victory, support for education, culture, and sports, corporate charity fund, business and charity fund cooperation, support for veterans, support for war victims, implementation of inclusive solutions, environmental protection, and MMR editor's choice.
The Ruslan Shostak Charity Fund, part of the TERWIN Corporation, implements two large-scale charity projects. "Childhood without War" helps the most vulnerable populations, including orphans and children deprived of parental care. Additionally, "HeroCar" is the only national platform providing the army with wheeled vehicles. In coordination with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the "HeroCar" charity project team purchases, adapts, and organizes the technical maintenance of off-road vehicles used on the front lines for mobile group raids, reconnaissance, cargo delivery, and evacuation of the wounded. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Ruslan Shostak Charity Fund has directed 570 million hryvnias to humanitarian projects and army assistance, purchasing around 500 powerful vehicles—Ford and SsangYong pickups.
"The creation of the Fund is a response to the social demand in Ukraine. Orphaned children need help, and military personnel on the front lines need support, so the Fund is aimed at providing aid to the state in the areas we've chosen. Since the war began, 570 million hryvnias have already been spent on helping Ukraine, and the Fund's activities continue. We are trusted by international organizations, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, authorities, and thousands of volunteers worldwide—this inspires and gives us the strength to implement current projects and start new ones," shared Olena Zubareva, Communications Director of the Ruslan Shostak Charity Fund.
The EVA retail chain, part of the TERWIN Corporation, also received a jury award. The network won in the "Support for War Victims" category with its charity initiative "Holidays with Tails." Over two months, the initiative raised 2,365,470 hryvnias. Nearly 2 million of this amount was donated by EVA customers through the network's store cash registers, 260,000 hryvnias was contributed by the company itself, and over 100,000 was raised online through the project's website.
