The EVA and EVA.UA retail chains have been included in the list of the best employers in Ukraine, compiled by New Voice magazine and the international executive search and assessment company Odgers Ukraine.
According to the organizers, the project aims to serve as a benchmark for employees, investors, and society, showcasing which companies truly support their teams and the country during wartime.
Companies were evaluated across four key areas:
-
support for veterans and their families;
-
promotion of inclusivity and diversity;
-
employee support during crises;
-
investment in talent development.
Data collection and evaluation were based on company surveys, veteran feedback — providing direct assessment of support programs — and expert analysis.
The expert jury included:
Vladyslav Rashkovan – Deputy Executive Director of the IMF,
Anna Derevyanko – Executive Director of the European Business Association,
Serhiy Kulyk – Managing Partner at Deloitte Ukraine,
Olga Rudneva – CEO of Superhumans Center,
Anna Kuzenkova – Managing Partner of Odgers Ukraine,
Vitaliy Sych – Editor-in-Chief of NV.
The award ceremony took place on October 15 in Kyiv (Parkovy Exhibition and Convention Center) during the event “Dialogues with NV: Business and the New Reality.” The gathering brought together business leaders, investors, and experts to discuss resilience and the development of Ukrainian business during the war.
“We are proud of this recognition because it reflects our team’s genuine efforts to support people — those who continue to develop EVA even in the most challenging times. For us, being a good employer isn’t about slogans, but about consistent practices and values,” said Inna Pecherytsia, HR Director of EVA and EVA.UA.
Today, the EVA team numbers around 14,000 employees, including 420 mobilized personnel. The company systematically implements employee support programs. One of its key initiatives is the “We Are Together” project, focused on mental health and building a culture of support. Additionally, EVA invests in talent development through internal training programs, mentorship, transparent career paths, and educational courses for current and future leaders.
Other retail companies that made it into the ranking include METRO, Avrora, Epicenter, and Silpo.
