Danylo Hetmantsev, Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, presented commendations to EVA and VARUS for their dedicated service to Ukraine, leadership in the retail sector, and transparent tax payments in 2024.

Last year, EVA contributed over UAH 4 billion in taxes to the state budget, while VARUS paid UAH 1.756 billion.

Being a responsible business today is not only about profit, but also about a duty to the country. Thanks to such companies, Ukraine can sustain its economy, fund social benefits, and support defense needs.

“Today, Ukraine’s economy relies on responsible businesses that continue operating, creating jobs, and paying taxes despite all challenges. It’s gratifying to see companies truly deserving of such recognition — their transparency sets an important example. We all must work, pay taxes, and support the army — not only as a duty, but as a contribution to the country’s future,” said Danylo Hetmantsev, Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy.

“Business is a partner of both society and the state, and recent wartime years have repeatedly proven this. Taxes, jobs, social support, economic development, improved business processes, and innovative technologies — all of this and more is delivered by Ukrainian industry and entrepreneurship. Only through partnership and dialogue between business and government, and through compliance with the law, can Ukraine’s economic position on the international stage grow stronger,” noted Ruslan Shostak, President of TERWIN Corporation and founder of EVA and VARUS.

Beyond responsible tax payments, EVA and VARUS also implement vital social and humanitarian initiatives and support efforts to bring victory closer. Since the start of the war, TERWIN has allocated over UAH 600 million to charitable projects and military aid.
